11/30/-0001 0 Comments You write, Right?I know, I've been scarce at blogging lately. But I promise, there's a reason. If you haven't heard or seen the trail of information my mom left behind a few weeks back, this is the post with all the details. I am writing a book. This is a not a ploy to become famous or rich overnight. I assure you, neither will happen. The goal is to make Jesus famous, and with Him I'm already rich, indeed. So, I've tackled some of the most obvious questions about the book here, and if I've forgotten anything that's on your mind, feel free to comment or send me the question through the "Contact" page of the site. Q: What's the book called? A: Traded for Jaded: Exchanging a Jaded Heart for His Joy. Q: is the book about Esther, your daughter that passed away? A: while I used her story, and mine through her loss, as inspiration, the story is not as much about her, as it is about overcoming. Q: is the book written for people who have lost a child, then? A: yes and no. If you've lost a child, I would highly recommend the book, simply because it's therapeutic to share and hear stories from other bereaved parents. If you, however, have not lost a child, the book is still definitely for you. It's for anyone who has ever had a plain old crappy day. Q: is the book for women? A: the book is for anyone. Men and women alike. If you can or have or will have a bad day- it's for you. Q: what's the book about? A: you'll have to read it to find out. Jk jk. But seriously. The theme of the book is about getting through the crummy days in life. Certainly for some that looks different or more extreme. But all of us experience hardship on some level- and most of us do it every day. It's all about how we need to be responding in the hardest hurts and worst of experiences. Q: when will the book be available? A: I'm shooting for September 1st. There are a few editing and technical publishing items that are either out of my control, or will be out of my control- and may delay it slightly. But the goal is to have it completed and available for preorder by September 2015. Q: where do I get a copy? A: I'll be doing some more posts with exact specifics. But, once available for print, you'll be able to purchase through my blog site on the "Resources" page, using PayPal. I am also, really trying to get a deal with the publishing company, regarding a bulk sale order. If they give me a discount on a large quantity, I'll pass the savings on to you all, and save us all some money! (Everybody said Yessssssss!) I'll also be doing a marketing post, where shares will count as entries for a drawing of a free copy- stay tuned cause you could win! Q: how much will the book cost? A: again, that's another one of those things that's semi-out of my control. Right now, I've been given an estimate of the cost of production, per single unit. (AKA- what it costs to make one book) I'll have a more exact price once the final edits have been made (think September 1st again) and can give you an exact amount for shipping, handling, etc. You will also have the option to purchase hardback or paperback copies. Hardback is a bit more expensive, but also holds up well and looks nicer on a coffee table, per say. Q: is the book finished? A: it is written in its entirety. However, final edits for grammar, spelling, and conceptual blunders are being completed as we speak (or write!). But for the most part- yes. It is finished being written. Q: how long is the book? A: well, since page numbers are another thing that is out of my hands, because the publisher chooses how many spaces to put between page breaks, page size, margin size, etc. I'm not exactly sure. but it's a total of 15 chapters. On my copy- the chapters range from 6-16 pages, with an average of about 11 pages per chapter. I can't wait to get it to you, and to share with you what God's been sharing with me. Make sure to check back often for the latest regarding the book. And tell everybody. Cause it took lots of hours, and not only would it be an incredible waste of time spent, but it would be a waste to not have this information downloaded from the Holy Spirit regarding our every day living habits! Send me your other questions or concerns!
